Looks great! Are you going for a "burnt end" type finish?

On "...no such thing as a bad pizza" I can tell you that the frozen Red Baron I put in the oven last night will never darken my door again. Pretty much 3/8" cardboard with catsup and some nasty cheese like stuff.
Yeah, that was my intent. So tonight after work I’ll chunk it up and put it in a foil pan with some beef broth and bbq sauce , wrap it up and let it go for a few hours. Sucks that I wasn’t able to finish last night, but on the bright side it will be a nice way to relax after a long day at work.

So it took way longer than expected to get to 165. Finally got there, but it was getting late. Wrapped in foil and took it to 200. Decided to open it up, let it cool and finish tomorrow after work. I hate to leave it at this point but 3:30 comes early. I’d rather be able to take my time and enjoy it. Here’s where I am…

Was looking forward to this, but put a pizza in the oven as a fix for tonight. Disappointing yes, but then again there’s no such thing as bad pizza. Some is better than others but none of it is bad in my book.
Well, the end result wasn’t as good as I hoped, but I expected as much. I cut up the roast when I got home and added beef broth, bbq sauce, onion and a few more goodies. Had the Bull heated to 225 and added the wrapped foil pan for an hour to let everything warm up as it was cold. Bumped the temp to 275 after an hour and let it go for another 2. The meat is a little dry, but some pieces turned out pretty well. That’s part of the learning process though. I think it would have been better had I been able to finish it in one day, but I will take my lumps and remember this when I try it again another time.

Never thought to serve cabbage with pork but sounds like a good match.
In a recent episode of fridge scavenging, I discovered that some leftover red cabbage that I had slow cooked with apples and bacon weren't half bad on a slider with pulled pork.

Looks good.. was that bone in or boneless?

I bought two pork butts from sams and cut them in half. That one was boneless. I cook a cabbage in the instant pot with some chicken broth and some bacon and some onion. Makes a fantastic meal. Thanks

Good stuff.. just let me know where and time and I’m there for the next round :)

Our neighbor’s son turns 23 today and he asked if I would do three tri tip for him. Of course I had to throw on a fourth for the wife and me. I only got a pic of one finished tri tip because the boys were snooping around and I had to pack them away to rest before we slice.

Just some stuffed chicken breast with bacon, onion, peppers, mozzarella cheese and little dollops of cream cheese then wrapped in bacon. Smoked for 1 hr. then increased to 475 till temp approx 20 min. Extra peppers and onions on the side were a good addition. Didn’t suck.

That looks great.

I stopped at the grocery store yesterday and got a 2 pound, 'manager's special' tri tip for $8.99.

Made a great dinner. I should have taken a pic. Best one I've ever cooked.

What I stopped at the store for in the first place to buy some wings for a get together tonight. Anybody buy wings lately?

What the hell happened? Are they only raising wingless chickens? Is there a shortage?

They were between $4.50-$5/pound.

Ended up buying 24 drumsticks for $2/pound and will be starting up a batch of these shortly...

Drumsticks are better anyway.. Prices are crazy everywhere. I'm shrinking to nothing refusing to pay them LOL.

Bird flu hath struck, and millions of chickens have had to be put down ☹️.
