DIY countertop! I poured them using a Harbor Freight mixer. I used Rapid set motar mix following Michael Builds on You tube. Quite a chore! I poured 5 counters and each finish got worse as I went on. Now I have cracks that I’m filling with rapid set caulk. But overall it is a good character flaw that works!
Thanks for the feedback. I am really struggling with granite vs. poured. If it cracked, I would not be happy.

Update: Gazebo purchased and built.

I’m just now designing what will be a semi-formalized outdoor kitchen space. With all my years experience cooking outdoors, I’m absolutely certain I will screw it up! If you make your friends and family happy with your food, then you did good!

We’re just finishing up a remodel of our backyard. I made sure to make a little space for my grills. I have plans to finish the space out a little more but really happy with the space so farand glad to get the grills off my patio.

Nice! @Waterboy what does the vertical slat wall on the back side accomplish? I’ve seen lots of folks do that on 1-2 sides, but I’ve never understood if it was a rain break, wind break, or?

The more I look at it, I agree. I have seen many people do something similar, and other than a possible wind break I don’t know why. A quick find on the Internet…
Yeah that’s just the fence. I thought about doing a privacy wall on one side because if a nosey neighbor but instead I’m going to put a grill garage over there. I plan on getting a couple of other cookers and want a place to store them. That will block the nosey neighbor.
