Stampede I am about to buy the RT-590 and have a few questions.

The problem with extension cords is that they get abused. If you use the proper size and keep It as short as needed your fine. If it gets frayed or beat up throw it away and get a new one. Use good common sense.

What's this "common sense" that you speak of?

Millions made and sold. But manufacture will recommend using an extension cord. Limit your liability in todays world. You will enjoy your 590

Yeah I can't wait.. I just wanted to make sure my electric would work. As I mentioned above the recteq guy said they didn't recommend using an extension cord, but I have to so it is what it is.

I bought a 25 foot 15 amp extension cord that I use exclusively with my 590. Six months with no problems.
