NiceOk, so it isn't the prettiest thing, but I will test it out with a cook later today.
2.5" x 34.5" strip of aluminum (.019" thick)
Bends are .5" either side. I used a long piece of angle iron to do the bends and a rubber hammer to do what I could not do with my hands.
First pic is the strip of aluminum.
2nd & 3rd are using the angle iron to help bend the metal.
4th is a test fit, first bend only.
5th shows how it looks when sitting in/on the grill.
6th shows it sitting in the grill with lid up.
7th shows it on the grill with lid closed.
Took about 45 minutes, all told. Hope it works.
Does it? Or does it drip onto the rail that holds the grates? It returns it to the drip tray.
Looks like that would work great. Might have to try this. Wish I knew the length of the Silverbac’s drip edge.Ok, so it isn't the prettiest thing, but I will test it out with a cook later today.

Not sure now I guess, that would be really stupid if it did.. Of course, I guess that's where it goes now if it doesn't leak out the lid .Does it? Or does it drip onto the rail that holds the grates?
26 inches....give or take. The front shelf for it is 26.75" wide.Looks like that would work great. Might have to try this. Wish I knew the length of the Silverbac’s drip edge.
I'm in if you end up doing this. I'd like SS to eliminate corrosion risk.I know a fab shop that could laser cut then bend this in a press. Realistically how much demand is there for this? I could have them quote a quantity on Monday. Shipping would be the biggest pain.

I’m in. If recreq doesn’t want our $$, we’ll give it to someone else.I'm in if you end up doing this. I'd like SS to eliminate corrosion risk.
Yep I’m in!If it's plug and play, i.e. holes pre-drilled and ready to go I think there would be takers.
Me too!Yep I’m in!
Didn't think about this. I've got a griddle too.I use the griddle a lot, Will it hit the griddle when you close the lid?
Okay, but it does not look like there is enough angle/bend to reach all the way back to the drip tray in the pictures. It returns it to the drip tray.
That may be true. Atleast it doesn't run down the front of the grill. Even if it just runs back to the grate edge atleast it's not enough to cause a fire. It's not massive amounts of liquid it's diverting. Still wish I had one actually.Okay, but it does not look like there is enough angle/bend to reach all the way back to the drip tray in the pictures.
How so?Now that I made the grilla grill type drip catch, which works very well, I'm on the fence about this.
