Welcome to the Forum Knob Creek
I cook a 16 - 20 lb Rib Rib every New Years Eve for my Wife's Birthday
I cut the large Roast into smaller, 4 lb pieces
We make a "Frosting" out of the Butter and all the seasonings and cover the smaller Roast with the "Frosting"
Here's our Prime Rib Cook:

MEATSMOKER TEMPSMOKING TIMEMEAT TEMPRUBS OR SAUCESMISC INFO
Prime Rib2hrs@LO + 275 Untill Done4.0 - 5.5 hours130 - 140 (MR - M)1 tbs of each; powdered Garlic, Pepper, Rosemary, Salt and Thyme in a cup of Butter per 8 lbsLet rest 0.5 -1 hour
