Cooking a whole or half pineapple

We tried smoking Pineapple a while back
Didn't care for it much
I do Grill them on the Gasser
Cut it into quarters, length wise around the Core
Grill all four sides of each piece for approx 5 - 10 mins, until it starts to caramelize

But if you want to try smoking it; cut it in half length wise, smoke it at 230 for 30 mins flip and smoke it for another 30 - 40 mins

needs just a pinch of cinnamon sugar - and some live fire to caramelize it all.
if pineapple is the only thing you're doing - how about sans drip tray, you'll get more direct heat.
