RT-1250 Recteq RT1250 coming soon

im definitely keeping my 700 but will likely buy that second shelf and make my own bracket. and also interested in the cast iron deflector shield. but will probably just add the 1/4 plate to mine. will also probably order the drip lip.
Are the grill dimensions the same as the 700?

I am extremely happy that I saw this today. I almost pulled the plug and bought a 700 and Bullseye last night but thought I would wait for a better deal than the $71 off of the pellets then today I figured what the heck, I have wanted them for a long time and then I saw this. Now I just have to play the waiting game until they are available for purchasing. I am curious to see what exact sizes both of the racks are.

I think that’s a wise decision, even for the folks that don‘t want to pay the additional $$ for a RT-1250 over what the RT-700 costs. I have to believe the RT-700 will be discontinued and there could be some big savings to move them out.

They may also keep the RT-700 on as a value/modders model for the people that either want a better price or people that want to make their own second rack and front shelf but I'm not sure. Like others have said I hope they offer some sort of package that you can buy where you can add most of this stuff to your existing 700 (assuming it is an optioned out version of the 700).

The only thing that I am kind of questioning is the second rack being made out of 1/4" round bar. I am wondering how much it will sag in the middle with the 1/4" round bar spanning 3 feet when it is loaded with pork butts or briskets or something heavier than ribs.

Good point, some butts are bigger than others.

looks like something is on the back of hopper
If we’re looking at the same thing, that’s the additional interior shelf that’s included. They added hooks to hang the shelf when you’re not using it.

holy crap, they probably saw how excited we all were and jacked it up another hundred overnight! 😲 Can we pre-order today before it's $1699 tomorrow?
Too late. Price increase at midnight.

I’d actually suspect a little different spin may be in the works. Discontinue the RT-590, lower the price of the RT-700 by say $100, and then you have all the Lifestyle Grills with the same round barrel look. The RT-590 has always been ‘different’, but only marginally smaller than the RT-700. Plus, the RT-700 is roughly 2x the size of the RT-340, the RT-1250 is roughly 2X the size of the RT-700, and the RT-2500 is roughly 2X the size of the RT-1250.

I highly doubt they'll lower the price of the 700, the raw material prices have been creeping up and up, further cutting in to their margins.
That's kind of what I was thinking too. Stainless is especially high right now and I was honestly extremely amazed that Recteq hasn't raised their prices yet. That is also why I was looking to buy now before they did raise their prices.

Sounds like a good idea. Who knows with this crazy economy?

Who knows what the future will bring, but don’t think for a minute that recteq isn’t raking in a fortune right now. One can’t help watch the recteq videos and see the homes and pools and trucks and boats and planes and other toys that these folks are are enjoying now and think they are so strapped for cash that they will NEED to increase prices soon.

Nice, but honestly.....too big for me. I would like to see some of the items become available accessories for the 700....drip shield, shelf holder, etc.

I've already put a 1/4" plate on my deflector, so that's done. Wouldn't upgrade to cast iron at this point since I have already fixed the issue. I may add hooks on the back on mine to hold the folding shelf I have, and maybe some kind of durable wire sheath for the wires.

Personally, I hope they wouldn't discontinue the RT-590. It serves a purpose as a good midsize option, especially at that price point. In fact, the main reason I didn't get an RT-700 was because it was just a bit too wide, front-to-back, to roll through my storage shed door, so the 590 was a perfect compromise. But, I could see and understand RT business needs dictating all decisions, regardless.

Plus, I love the different shape of the RT-590!

I wish I measured the dimensions earlier. I am now going to increase the size of my service door to accommodate my RT-700.
