I bought my 1250 about 18 months ago and love it and use it a lot
Yes the top shelf is some what useless
And I use a couple smoke tubes for additional smoke
Its larger than I really need but it’s nice not having any limitations
So far I’ve had zero problems with it and no regrets purchasing it
