I have been using Pitboss pellets, gourmet but picked up some Bear Mountain. My question is this. I have some reamaining pellets in the hoper and wondered if I should remove those before adding the different brand?
I can’t see it making any difference but this being my first pellet smoker and coming from a stick burner, I thought I would tap into the excellent knowledge base if this forum. Thanks for any insight in advance.

Should be fine

“…wondered if I should remove those before adding the different brand?”

The short answer: “no.” The long answer, “not necessary.” If you were going from/to some exotic specialty pellets, then “maybe, but probably not.”

You will be fine just putting the new pellets in on top of the old ones.

Thanks too all, what I was thinking. Plannings Prime Rib Roast for tomorrow.
