Bull Outside Shelf size for RT 700

I plan on making a folding shelf for my RT 700 with my neighbor. The shelf Rectec sells measures 34x12. Any of you guys wish it was a little bigger? 34x14?
I don't think it'll get in the way to much, just curious what you guys think.

My neighbor has a little wood shop and we plan on making the shelf out of bamboo.

Welcome and great question. The extra 2 inches may not make that much of a difference unless your on the shorter side and have to reach into the grill over a wider shelf, it may make it be a little more difficult. The front shelf is a must in my opinion and wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have one, especially with puppy around.
