I just welded some square tubing to the bottom of the legs as an axle tube and put a piece of all thread through the middle as the axle. For the casters I welded some steel plate to the bottom of each leg followed by welding the casters directly to the steel plate.Has anyone with a newer 700 tried drilling new holes 1" over the existing ones and tried 4" casters on the other end? I'm wondering if this is a less destructive way to install the mod without the need to try to cut out that tube welded in.
Buy me a 1250 and I'll work on a kit for it!I wonder if anyone has done this for the 1250. You would think Recteq would offer a kit.
Sounds like a fair deal!Buy me a 1250 and I'll work on a kit for it!
The problem with RT offering a wheel upgrade kit is that it would be an admission that the OEM wheels are inadequate. Not gonna happen!I wonder if anyone has done this for the 1250. You would think Recteq would offer a kit.

My fixed wheel axle measured 0.317" diameter, about 5/16", and 15/16" long. What is the diameter of the pipes that the original wheels were on? I would like to make a bushing set to modify this when mine arrives. Just a thought.
@kbrown…I’ve just gone through my second set of swivel wheels on my RT-700. Very disappointed in these wheels. It’s like they’re not really rated for the weight of the 700.Finished product and things that I used

I came across this old post of yours and I wanted to ask if you put on the 12” wheels because your new 5” caster wheels made that end of the 700 higher (not level)? I’m wondering if I got the 3” or 4” caster wheels, instead, if I could get by without doing the 12” wheels?
I figured someone would've answered by now ..???Anyone?
