About 4:30 this morning I heard a crash against the outside the house, at the bedroom wall. So I grabbed my 12 gauge friend and investigated. I've been preparing my garden for the February planting and left the black hose in the dirt. Turns out to be a huge hawk that assumed the black hose was a snake and it thought it had a meal. My chickens have been disappearing and now I know why.
