I'd like to smoke some salt for xmas presents this year. How would i go about doing that on the bull if i don't have the smoker box? Should i buy it to be able to do that?
Yup, ditto on low setting, I place a thin layer on a sheet pan, stir every 15-20 minutes, and I smoke salt for 90-120 minutes. Kosher salt (I use Diamond Crystal) is my favorite for about everything.
Thanks! I'll use the LOW setting on the grill and smoke for a few hours According to the internet up to 4hrs should give good results. Has anyone smoked cheese without the smoker box?
