Stampede Brand new Stampede turns on but no heat

Hi all -

I built a new Stampede this morning as described, foiled the drip pan, and dropped a half handful of pellets in the fire pot. Turned on the grill, connected to wifi, set the temp to 400 degrees to do the initial burn in. The LEDs on the front light up, I can hear some fans running but no fire in the pot. Any suggestions? THANKS!

About 20 minutes elapsed while it was running before I posted this. Then, after posting, I opened the app and it showed the temp jump from 66 to 88. Went outside and it was burning. So, I think the app was in a weird state that cleared when I reopened it? Anyway it's burning in now!
