unburnt pellets

I went to vacuum out pot today after yesterday's long cook and there was about 10 unburnt pellets in pot is that normal

Yes. The auger automatically cycles pellets into the pot at the completion of cooking. Keeps you from having to prime the pot with new pellets at startup.

Still an odd choice by RT in my opinion. Feels like it would make more sense to feed the pellets during startup rather than shutdown.

They do feed the pellets on start up too

For as long as they stick with that odd choice I'll stick with killing power before the auger spins.

Yep, though I think it's at the same time as starting the igniter rod.

Either way, adding fuel to the firepot at the firepot isn't what I'd prefer.
