My Sister-in-Law and Hubby are really into Coffee
So as a Gift, we smoked some Beans for them
We ordered 2.5 lbs of Kona Hawaiian 100% Authentic Prime Raw Green Coffee Beans
Placed them on our Cooking Mates and smoked them in the Bull
350 for 45 mins to a hour +/-
Leave them in until they crack or look to be the rich brown color you'd expect Coffee Bean should look

How did the coffee taste?

They "said" they loved it
I don't drink (hot) Coffee, so I can't say for myself, but the freshly ground / brewed stuff smells GREAT !
Eat a bunch of the smoked Bean, and thought how good they'd taste Chocolate covered
Momma, Her Sister and Husband seemed to really like it
I may have to run some over Ice and give that a shot

Please don't anger this man:

That's a cool idea.
I have some green beans on hand.
Will have to give it a try.
So, how did this turn out? I roast my own coffee and I am curious about what you think of this. Also, how did you do it? Thanks in advance! Lou

Hey Lou:
So, how did this turn out?
I didn't try drinking it myself, but my In-Laws said it was great
They said smoking gave it an interesting and different flavor than all the other Coffee's they drink
I did eat some of the roasted Beans (as if they were Peanuts) and thought they did have a rich flavor
At the time, I was thinking they'ed taste great covered in my Wife's Homemade, Sugar free (100% natural Maple Syrup sweetened) Dark Chocolate, kinda like Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans

So, how did you do it? Thanks in advance! Lou

Hope this helps

Did anyone ever doing this? I have some green coffee beans and was thinking of using apple wood pellets to roast them?
