RT-1250 Recommend pellets brand

I am a lumberjack fan. They just seem to work better than the other pellets I have tried.. I fact my wife who uses the grill mainly as an oven says that LJ is the only way to go. Less ash and a consistent temp. I don't argue with her :giggle:

I have found Bear Mountain pellets work the best for me. Consistent in size and temp. I tried pit boss competition blend and some of those pellets were VERY long, which in turn cause temp fluctuation.

Lumberjack for me. I used a few others when I had the 590, but switched to LJ. The only issue I have had with them is I picked up LJ char hickory a second time and they are different. A bit longer and seem a bit tougher. I usually blend them with other pellets for high temp cooks, but these really seem to cause a lot of heat overrun on initial heating and after opening the lid for working on the cooks. No taste difference, though.
