Someone said they had good luck cleaning the outside of the RT 700 with a product P66. Found it on Amazon and used it today.
After 4 years of use and failed attempts to clean up creosote leaks around the lid the buildup was quite thick. The stuff does work well & my grill looks near new.
Also the grease bucket hangs to low below grease spout. When the wind blows the bucket swings spilling grease on side of the grill cooking it solid. Have replaced hang wire with a shorter one getting the bucket lip closer to output. Should cure it.
