No, mine looks much worse than that! They take a beating for sure, and the effects of the high heat will make the center react as if it were rusting out.

This should be covered in the 2-year warranty. When mine gets too bad, I am going to try that first.

It would depend on the type of stainless, but in general yes stainless steels will hold up better.

Ya believe it’s $30 for new flame deflector. As long as it’s not effecting taste or smell it doesn’t bother me.

If you build up a little base it will not look like that....Or ??? Not sure it matters.....
