Thanks, that's a better price. This is what I used but I would still try 1/4in on the sides if I were to do it again with 1/8th on top & bottom.
Not unhappy just think it might seal a little better. I get a slight leak in the middle at the top.

I'd like to see some pics of how you sealed the smoke box...my door wouldn't shut with it on there..I sealed mine (lid and smoke box) after some helpful advice and photos from Greg. I am very happy with the results. There is plenty of airflow through the grease drain and smoke stack. Cooking has been very good.
The door fit on the smoke box varies. Mine was so loose without the seal that the door handle wouldn’t stay in the closed position.I'd like to see some pics of how you sealed the smoke box...my door wouldn't shut with it on there..
I had the same issue and I just put a washer under the hinge (farthest screw from hinge) to angle the hinge a bit and it fixed that right up.This is what I used but I would still try 1/4in on the sides if I were to do it again with 1/8th on top & bottom.

Here are photos of the lid and smokebox with the 1/8 x 1/2 gasket. The smokebox door is a tight fit. It was a bit loose before sealing.I'd like to see some pics of how you sealed the smoke box...my door wouldn't shut with it on there..
I used 3/4” X1/4”Lava Lock, works great! I also used it for the “stack”, with a cutout for the bolts. Keeps it WAY cleaner.sorry no suggestions - other than I wouldn't bother sealing the door.
