First thing I would like to say is thanks for add. I just finished the burn-in on this beautiful RT-1300 and everything thing went great. One thing I was hoping someone could help me with is in the starter kit that I ordered with my grill there is a roll of black teflon or thin rubber what's it for?

Welcome! It's a drip pan liner. Several of experimented with it. It works well at the job it performs, but at least I found it was a PITA to clean and I ultimately went back to just using foil on my drip pan. Many use no liner at all and just scrape off the goo as needed.

It lines the drip tray under your grates. It is already cut to fit. I am on the cook and scrape team. Drippings always got under foil and I had to scrape either way.
