Cant keep my temp. down. Set at 200. shows internal of 245

Is it in direct sunlight? If so, move it to shade if possible. You may need to lower minimum auger rate.

Welcome, not sure what grill you have but try lowering your minimum feed rate down.

Thanks, I did lower the feed rate,.....worked like a charm

Had the same problem, lowered the feed rate to 3, all good, never looked back. ??

Did the same with my RT-340, factory setting was 6.5%, lowered my feed rate to 4.0% and worked great.

The factory setting is 6.5. If you ever have to lower it, always go to 3.0, nothing in between. They'll tell you the same thing.

I wonder why nothing in-between? It seems like it should be sliding scale? I'm set at 3 and
working fine. ??
