Hi guys, I’m a new Bullseye owner and was wondering if some pellets work better for smoking and some work better for the hotter cooks. I’m not talking about flavor, but more so temperature. I’ve had some trouble with my temps rising quite a bit using Bear Mountain Gourmet Blend. Are there other pellets that work better for low and slow? I’m also aware of changing the offset, but when I do that it just increases the temperature swings (from as low as 180 to as high as 285 when set to 225).
Thanks!

Oak blends would run hotter. I've been running half char-hickory/half competition blend from lumberjack in my bullseye. In my Bull, I almost always run 100% varieties like cherry or hickory.
