I spent time in northern Maine (Limestone), upstate NY (Utica/Rome) western MA (Springfield) and NE (Omaha) and the Upper Peninsula of MI, after that had Thailand, Guam, the Philippines, SoCal and a few other stops. I’m in SoCal (again) so I’ve got nothing. We complain when it doesn’t hit 70F during any day of the year.

I miss seeing the B-52s and F-104s (??) flying out of Griffiss AFB and the occasional sonic boom. I don't miss the snow (Sacramento area now). While it was still an active base, I had a soccer game on the base and made a wrong turn. Ended up at the guardhouse at the end of the runway. Enjoyable time having an M-16 pointed in my general direction. It wasn't aimed me but it wasn't on his back anymore either.
