Melted plastic on exterior

Hey all-

Just got my 700 this week, and I made a boneheaded mistake during the first grill. I was discarding some wrappers in a plastic shopping bag for trash, and I got the bag too close to the grill body while it was hot. The plastic stuck to the grill, and I now have an ugly patch of melted plastic on the exterior now. Any ideas on what I can use to scrape off the residue? I’ve tried BKF and WD-40 with minimal success.

Thanks in advance all!

Dan

Get it hot, about 200*, and carefully scrape off what you can with a knife or sharp putty knife. While still hot use some fine steel wool gently going with the grain of the stainless.

Razor blade will clean that right off without any scratching if you are careful. Been there.. :)
