RT-680 Leaks a lot of smoke

Hi, my RT680 leaks a lot of smoke out of the top and bottom when the lid is closed. Is this normal? I just purchased it from someone and thought all the smoke should come from the smoke stack?? Any thoughts?

Very normal. I have the 680 and it has the same leaks, which are normal. Never had any issue with the smoke flavor with the meat at the end of any cook.

I had the same problem, I replaced the hinges on my lid, and It sealed it up. Now I only have smoke coming out of the chimney and grease bucket. The hinges were $10. Mine were bent back to the point where it wasn’t holding the lid up any longer, just flapping back.
