Bull hopper lid

Has anyone have a problem with the hopper lid not closing all the way down on one side? I tried bending it some but didn't help. Recteq said they would send another one but I'm trying to prevent that. Not sure if its the lid or where it connects.

make sure there isn’t a small pellet sitting on the lip of the hinge side.

I had a stray pellet in the way, but that’s too easy to diagnose. I get a few of those each time i fill the hopper.

Double check and make sure the screws on the hinge are tight. I found three of them loose this weekend. I have only had my 700 for about a month now.

loosen up all of the screws and reset the lid then tighten all the screws.
