Different situations will require different solutions, but I attach my MEATER+ base to the chassis of of the grill. The legs are not SS, and this location is largely protected from inclement weather.

The 1070 is all magnetic, the hopper lid in OP is not so it’s gotta be 300 series. As noted, made in china, so actual # regardless of what we’re told may be different.
