Mine's pretty well shielded by the house. I'm not worried.

Any new 1250 owners, I wish I had installed “Lavarock” insulation on the interior door before I did my first two cooks. Major job trying to get smoke / grease residue off before trying to put on interior door insulation to stop leakage.
Also, thanks for the suggestion to get a big zipper to have installed on the 1250 cover. Hopefully that will solve difficult cover problems.
