Ran across the video on the Rec Tec YouTube channel of their guy making deep dish pizza. Had the wife snag a few missing ingredients at the store and made it for dinner Friday.
Mine might not have been quite as good as Giordano's or Lou Malnati's, but when I factor in the 2 hour drive and Chicago traffic, this suits me just fine. If you haven't tried this yet, TRY IT!!!
One mistake I made, cause I was starving and impatient, was to not let it rest. Fifteen minutes would be good, a half hour would probably be better. I cut out a slice right away and it kinda falls apart. When I went back for seconds, the cheese and sauce had firmed up considerably.
