Bullseye Aftermarket Ash Dump Spring?

I assembled my new recteq B380x last night, performed burn in, and noticed the ash dump spring has failed. This seems to be something that's happened to others as well. I plan to reach out to support, but assuming they replace it with the exact same spring - I'd expect it to fail again.

Is there an aftermarket spring that is more reliable, or a mod that would prevent it from failing in the future?
