Looks fantastic!
I did a 12lb for the superbowl, same timing etc… but mine was not as juicy, tasted great !
(may need to wrap tighter next time in the paper…
I start my cooks on super smoke for the first 1 to 2 hrs (depending on what I’m cooking, i.e. long cook of a Brisket vs shorter cook of a turkey etc… ) has always produced good smoke flavor. I also use Lumberjack pellets, I like to mix my own (hickory, oak and a fruitwood) last if I really want...
Hello all, looking for an assist here, I have never mixed my own spices, found a few my family loves and have stuck with it.. I know that the Durty Gurl Bloody Mary Rub was discontinued however I’m just about out and it’s one of my family’s favorites for poultry.
Anyone know of a close...
It’s ash, when you start cooking, grease will stick to the walls of the grill and the ash will as well.
most will line the grates with bacon strips on the initial cook and it will coat the grill. Bonus is you get bacon !
With the kids home from College due to quarantine, I decided to cook up a turkey for an April thanksgiving !
The bird came out super moist and delicious, entire family enjoyed it and there were very little leftovers :p)
The recipe I used was a take on Aaron Franklins S&P with a 24 hr brine...
Was it connected before You unplugged ?
if so, give it some time to reconnect.
1) make sure the grill is close to your home/router location
2) make sure you are broadcasting on 2.4ghz (does not connect of 5ghz)
Nothing on my end, have only done one 12hr cook and then steaks, chicken and burgers at higher temps but nothing like this, I'm sure RT will make it right, i'm curious to see what their response is. Good luck !
I used Lumberjack 100% Cherry on this pulled pork, friends and family loved it !
Wife said it was the best I have ever cooked !
In the past I have used 50% oak, and 50% Apple, always came out good however not as good as 100% Cherry IMO.
