RT-300 Auto shut off

If I run out of pellets during a cook will the unit shut off? If not will that harm the unit?
I coulfn't find anything in my manual.

About 1X per year I run my hopper completely empty and let it run a bit. It just runs the auger and fan for a bit. Does not hurt the unit, and it helps push a lot of the fines through the auger and out. I then use forced air into the auger to blow the rest out, before vacuuming the drum. Not saying it is sanctioned, but I have never had an issue.

I believe it will run for a while and then shut off. Did you call customer service. They will have the definitive answer.

The mini will flash a fault code.
To restart, fill hopper then fill fire pot half full and restart to prime.
