Bull who likes a big rack?

made alittle more progress today after work. finally got the basic frame made so it will start going together fast. thats a 13.5lb brisket. i believe it would fit underneath after trimming. i will be just alittle higher than that test once i put my side slides on. also the welds will be cleaned up alot before the finished product but i predict it will be much prettier with a few cooks on it

Looks great.

Curious what size Traeger liner is that? Seems to fit perfect

here are a few more pictures without meat i took today. yesterday meat was on the rack with in 5 min of the install. the first picture is basically what the side slides will look like once i get the top piece of metal cut to fit both sides around the exhaust and temp probes. the rack slides and hardware is all stainless. i went with stainless phillips head screws for the side slide mounts to match the rest of the grills larger screws. i was worried the screws in the side of the barrel would look like a home made rig job but it looks nice i think. on the exhaust side the bolts go into the smoke box also making the whole unit really sturdy.

Looks good.. who do I place my order with? :)
this is most likely a 1 time build for me. it was actually very time consuming to use the rods. each one was cut them grinded and the ends smoothed on a belt sander and each is accurate to 1/2mm max tolerance then all the small welds. i can understand why most people go with the expanded metal its half the cost and way faster to make. im definitely not done modding my grill though. i think my next mod is a light inside the smoke box which should be fast and easy

I hear you on the 1 time build. At least you can look at that every time and smile while you reflect back on the meticulous process to build it. Truly one of a kind.

Looking forward to the light mid. Don’t have a smoke box but love to see the creativity.

Very nice work!
