Bull Using lamp wiring for switched outlet?

I’m no electrician, but after seeing the RT-1250 with a power outlet on the side it got me thinking…are there any electricians or electrical savvy people out there that know if this would work? A switched outlet would be much more useful than the interior lamp.

I see no reason why it won't work. Current (amperage) handling capabilities is another story.
 
Would it work, sure as long as that switch is fed 110V. It's probably not a good idea though as the switch is pretty light duty as are the wires. Wouldn't expect much current before failure.
