How can I tell what version of software is running on my bullseye?

Plug it in, and the version number will briefly display. The most current version as of today is 01.03. The only way to update it is to replace the entire controller. It would be nice if the Bullseye had a port for an SD card or a thumb drive so that it could be more easily updated. I expect the WiFi grills could be updated remotely by recteq, but I‘m not aware if they do that.

Good question, can it be updated?

Only way to update the software version on the controller is to replace the complete controller. The app can be updated over Wi-Fi when recteq releases them which isn't very often.
