I have a question about Sear kit for RT-1250. Is it the same part as for RT-700? In one of the recteq videos on youtube they were saying that the sear kit should be installed on the right side of the grill replacing the existing grate. If I'm not mistaken RT-700 consists of 2 grates but RT-1250 has one piece grate. So do I just install Sear Kit on top of the existing grate?

That is correct that the 700 is 2 grates while the 1250 is a single gate. This is what I do with my 1250 grill grates too is put them on top of the grate.
