Sear Grates vs Cast Iron Insert: does one work better for searing steaks?

Need advice on which to buy for searing steaks on a RT 590. Thanks

For that grill, I would go with sear grates. If you had a bullseye, I don't think it makes a huge difference. I use a cast iron grill grate on my bullseye all the time. I will say if I am doing skirt steaks or I would call arrechera, I do bust out the grill grates(since I have them) and use the flat side.

The reason i say sear grates is I believe they will heat up faster and hold more heat in but I could be wrong on that. That's just my perception from using both.

It's pretty clear I'm asking about a 590. bot?
The sear grates (GrillGrates) are nice that they can be reversed to sear other foods on the back side. Eggs and bacon are one example. Neither is a good substitute for a griddle (AKA Blackstone). GrillGrates are easier to clean IMO, due to their modularity. I have both, would give away a recteq griddle for my 380 if someone wants to come pick it up.
