While snooping through Home Depot an hour or so ago looking for a small piece of hose to cover the sharp hood rests, I noticed they sold pool vac hose by the foot. That really surprised me. So I bought a foot, came home and cut a couple pieces off and here we go. I’ll trim them down some more but it looks like I’ve got her all taken care of. Thanks for all the advice, and actually this is following one or two of your suggestions.

is that to protect the paint on the hood when you open the lid or to protect the grill cover?

I did not realize I had started a new thread. I thought I was responding to my original thread concerning avoiding my cover being ripped. My bed.

That makes sense. I looked at the picture a few days ago and was trying to figure out the reason for this.
