Remove rust from flat top griddle

Maybe try a Scotch Bright pad to remove the rust wash and then season it again.

Hi there! We have a new (not even used yet) griddle for my husband's RT-700 and it was left out on the patio and now has rust spots on it. I tried our blue scotch brite scrubber but it didn't help much! I want to clean it and season it so that we can make sausage and peppers tonight! PLEASE HELP!!

Concentrated lemon juice (not the frozen stuff filled with sugar) will work to remove rust, I've used it to clean up cast iron before prior to reseasoning.
