Rec Teq Customer service waiting soundtrack

I suppose many of you are familiar with the soundtrack loop while you’re on hold with customer assistance.

We’ll,
Today I called Weber for assistance with a gas grill issue and guess what?
The exact same soundtrack loop at Rec Teq while I was on hold.

Would you suppose they are somewhat in business together these days ?
Seemed unlikely otherwise.

The music is provided by a subscription service. Apparently, they are both using the same subscription service.

I used to work for a company in Seattle by the name of "Audio Environments" in the early 80's. Their claim to fame was "Foreground Music" and they were competitors to Muzak. Muzak ultimately bought them out. But, AEI had something in the range of 15,000 subscribers during their prime, mostly retail businesses.

It wouldn't surprise me if both Weber and RT were subscribers to the same service. Could even be Muzak for all I know.
