I thought I was anal! The caulk smear will be a black grease spot after a couple of cooks. When I bought my 590 the Amazon price was the same as buying it direct from RecTec and I would have had to get a package with the mats I have no use for. BTW, the grill from Amazon ships from RecTec. I guess RecTec has to maintain an online presents.
