my original probes were acting up sporadically, I didn't see any new ones on RT's website so I opted for a few of these from Amazon

Recteq Grills Upgraded Probe ~$16/ea.

So far so good, 1 cook with pork butt and shoulder and I calibrated the probes - they were spot-on with the ice-water test.
I like the sturdy build of these probes, the right-angle of the probe helps with pushing/pulling out of the meat and the wire is much longer than the OEM ones.
Good luck smoking!

My probes became erratic about a month ago, with wild swings from below freezing (not in FL!) to much higher than actual temperature. I called Rec Teq and was told to make sure the nut on the input fitting was tight and to use a hair dryer to dry out the humidity in those fittings. It worked...no problems since then.

These work great! I did just have to replace one of mine after a couple years due to use but they are fairly priced and are accurate. I tried to mess with the stock ones but just wasn't worth my time.
