First of all let me just say I cannot wait to get my first smoke going… I just put together my 590 and the paperwork that it came with mentioned that they sent the wrong regulators. Not sure what that means. When I installed the app and got it all connected, the app thinks that it is a 1250 for some reason, could that be why? When I looked underneath the hopper it looks like it came with a three RPM motor. Not sure if they are all coming with that three RPM motor, but either way I’m pretty happy!

I just received mine as well. Shows up as the 1250 on my ipad and shows up correctly as the 590 on my iPhone. It Seems to reflect the temps correctly on both. I am having a problem with the smoke coming out of the pellet hopper instead of the cooking cavity. Need to research and find out why. I cooked/ smoked a 3 pound porterhouse last night. Came out excellent

Not sure if this is a bad thing in your case but the only time I ever had smoke coming out of the pellet hopper it seemed like my pellets ignited and it was getting bad pretty quick. I shut off the unit and cleaned everything out. It was ok after that but I don’t usually ever see smoke coming from the hopper.

Did you shut it down after a high temp cook, then saw smoke coming out of the hopper?
I've noticed sometimes after a high temp cook, if don't ramp the temp down some (~250) before shutting it down, there's a chance some of the pellets in the auger start to smolder, then I'll get some smoke out of the hopper.
