Bull Is there any reason the RT-700 Stainless Steel Grates Can't go into the Dishwasher for cleaning?

I spray the grates with Dawn Powerwash and pop them in the dishwasher on the tough cycle with a sanitizing rinse. They come out almost as good as new.

Edit: Don’t use Dawn of any sort with bleach based dishwasher detergent.

While this thread is still way off course - does anyone else wipe the grates after scrubbing and shouldn't that keep the broken off wires out of your mouth? I usually take a few paper towels, doused with oil and wipe the grates. I like grill marks - but from an actual sear, not old grease.

I put them in dishwasher after each cook. No problems.

I just spray them down with ammonia and place in a closed garbage bag over night. Everything rinses off the next day.
