Stampede Got error code E1 PF

So just fired up my smoker, walked away, came back to see if it was up to temp of 225 and the display was saying ER1 PF.

Iam assuming this is a power failure? But why?

Set up is the same as I've done since day one. Extension cord, heavy duty power strip. Smoker and Thermoworks Signal are plugged into the strip. So not alot power being required...

I pressed the power button again and it's going through the light up sequence again. So well see if it happens again.

But what causes the error, anyone know?

ER1 code = power failure on page 16 of the RT590 owners manual. Does the circuit you are using have a ground fault outlet in it? If so, it may have tripped creating the failure.

I was using a GFI outlet but the outlet never tripped and the outlet is new ontop of that. The breaker in the power strip never tripped as well. Just really odd.

Turned the smoker back on and it ran like a champ. So really not sure what caused it..

Could be power fluctuation from source was enough to cause the fault. Power company's don't always deliver a steady product.
