Yes, something seems to have changed, other than the firmware. The original firepots I think have 7 holes.

I can try to remember to look tonight. I guess I never really looked it over that in depth.

this could be interesting. i have thought about finding a more powerful blower and maybe do the dual exhaust bfg look for more flow. i haven’t though about porting the pot for hi flow intake.

I looked at mine today and mine has the same 7 holes that @Northbethesda1234 has in his. I bought mine the first day they were available to be purchased. I'm not sure about his/hers.

So, it appears that no changes were made to the firepot. I doubt they would change fans.

So, that leave only the 3 RPM auger motor and controller firmware upgrades.

Makes me think if someone with a 700 needs a replacement controller what they might get ..

Good point, I wonder if the 700 and 1250 use the same controller. Someone could check firmware version of their 1250

The cast iron deflector is a pretty big upgrade in my opinion. It holds heat so well.
