Anyone know if the patio legend can fit a whole Turkey in it? I think I’m ruling the 700 out and now looking at the 410 and 590. Any thoughts on the 410? Thanks everyone
It’s been about a year since I’ve checked in here. Lots have happened in a year. Health is terrible but hanging in there. Question for everyone. I’m about to get a new Rec Tec and I’m looking at the deck boss or the 700 that’s only for pick up. I have a lot of physical issues with back and legs...
Well, I bought this 340 this past October. Great pellet smoker but I don’t use it enough. Selling the 340 with a cover, 20 pounds of pellets, a smoke tube and 2 of the drip tray liners from Rec Tec. Everything for $500.
Does anyone have a vinegar based bbq sauce that’s like Rec tecs regular gourmet sauce? Would like to make but with less heat. I no it’s not that hot but the family does not like any heat. Thanks all.
So I bought a 340 yesterday and one of the horns is slightly loose. Moves just a little. Is this normal or anyway to tighten it up. Glad to be back with the Rec Tec Family
Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here. I had a 340 for about a week last year and I’m trying to get the wife to let me get another one. In the long run are they worth it? I don’t need anything bigger than a 340 and being disabled I just want simplicity. Would you go...
Due to some health issues I’m having to really slow down cooking outdoors. With that said, I have a 5 month old 590 that has a sear kit, dual control band, cast iron heat deflector, 40 pounds Rec tec pellets, 10 pounds lumberjack pellets, a cover, 4 meat probes. I’m located in Augusta Ga, not to...
I’ve had my sear kit a few weeks now and was gonna do some chicken quarters this afternoon. Can you cook them on the sear kit or at the end put them on it for a good crunchy skin? Any thoughts on this? Thanks everyone
I appreciate the kind words. I got the 26 to sell and big possibility I’ll be selling my 590. Want someone from the forum to get it. You guys are great
