Hey all, just cleaned out the smoker and there is quite a good build up of what looks like a combo of grease and creosote . So I cleaned it and scraped off what I could. My question is would it be a good idea to to a high heat burn off? I would take out the grates,no foil on the drip plate,crank...
i had a huge crop of these peppers and wanted to make good use of them,already have several bags in the freezer! This stuff is very potent! Handle with care!
My last turkey I cooked at 300-325 and it came out good but not a lot of smoke taste. This time I smoked it at 225 for 3 hrs and at 300 for 1 1/2 hrs till it was up to temp. Definitely more smoke flavor!

I was trying to get some smoke flav on these wings by cooking at 225, they weren’t crispy,but the skin had a good bite through.

here’s my first attempt at brining and smoking salmon. It was easy and it came out great! The extreme smoke mode worked perfectl,kept the temp at 180F and put out a lot of smoke! Definitely give it a try
So I just discovered this, took my meat off the grill and brought it in to rest. Went back out to the grill to clean up. Took a sponge and some degreaser to that smoke residue while the grill was still warm, well it wiped right off! No rubbing or scrubbing, wiped up the residue with some paper...
Picked up some Meat Church rubs at Academy sports,if you have one near you they have a good selection of rubs,seasoning,grill supplies and they have B and B pellets $15 for a 40 lb bag.
Anyway, I went to a farmers market today there was a rancher selling grass fed beef,picked up these big short...
So it happened, my neighbor asked me what smells so good,explained we we’re making pulled pork. Being a good neighbor I brought him a sandwich.
Next thing I know there’s a pork butt coming over the fence! Lol,I dont mind,everyone loves good bbq.
