    Pork Belly Burnt Ends

I've had my ups and down's with PBBE's. The very first batch I ever did - the BOMB! Family and friends LOVED them, they thought I was some kind of smoker savant. But it all went downhill from there. So it was a learning curve back up. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't. I wish I could get...

    RT-1070 Pork Belly Burnt Ends

They look awesome. I love doing PBBE's but it's hit or miss for me. Sometimes they are melt in your mouth, other times kinda chewy and/or dry.

    Bull RT-700 DIY Front Shelf

I opted for the 12" model. Seemed the most logical for the slab of lumber I had. Plus, I figure if I ever need to replace it, I can easily for to 14" - 16" if I needed and still be ok with the 12" bracket.

    Bull RT-700 DIY Front Shelf

That's a great idea! Honesty, before I read your post, I considered the bull ring nothing more than decorative, unless I decided to take the bull to my local saloon and tie to the hitchin' post to keep it from wandering off ;-)

    Brisket troubleshooting help

Thanks so much for the reply. Excuse my ignorance, but when you say that it sounds like the point was a bit undercooked. With that being said, and the flat being dryer, slightly tough (not as juicy and tender as the point) does that equate to the flat being even more undercooked? This is the...

    Brisket troubleshooting help

I smoked a brisket over the weekend, following the Meat Church youtube video for a pellet smoker brisket. I am confident in my procedure according to the video -- except when I got to the finish. I had 2 probes in, 1 in the point and 1 in the flat (see attached image) Notes: this was a 15 pound...

    Bull RT-700 DIY Front Shelf

I was inspired by others that did DIY shelfs. I bought the folding brackets on Amazon as others had done. OK, now what... go to Home Depot and buy a chunk of lumber? Fab something out of stainless in the machine shop I have access to? Hey, my cousin in Arkansas with property. With trees. And a...

    BFG EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

I sealed the barrel door after the first smoke. After I sealed the main door, next cook I noticed smoke coming out of the hopper lid like I Dream of Jeannie was coming out to visit. On my note to self list: "buy more stick on gasket material"

    RecTeq accessories comment

LOL, I eventually got the 'Notify Me' e-mail. And as of this typing, the large rack is still in stock, so all would have been good even if I had checked 10 days later. I would have missed the site-wide sale.

    RecTeq accessories comment

I picked up a RT-700 about a month ago. I really wanted to get the large interior shelf but it was out of stock. I e-mailed tech support asking when they would be back in stock, the answer was "we don't really know, they just come in 'whenever' " I waited another week and decided to call and...

Bull RT-700 Auger feed rate - app vs. control panel settings

My forum and google searches have not answered my question. I inadvertently adjusted the feed rate slider from within the app before noting what it was defaulted to. So I decided to contact tech support via e-mail. While I was at it, I asked what the default feed setting should be from within...

    Pink butcher paper smoke permeability

Rather than continue reading conflicting information on Amazon questions and reviews, what are your experiences with butcher paper wraps and smoke penetration? i.e. once wrapped, will the meat absorb any more smoke? Or is it a known that the meat is going to absorb all the smoke in the first 3...
